Time Stamps

“Lose the Film” would like to invite all artists to submit their photographs, or photographic related material, to take part in a collaborative zine in relationship to the idea “Time Stamps”.  Black and White, Color, Alternative Processes, Photo Collage, Film, Digital, and any other photographic medium are all heavily encouraged.   

We are looking for work that responds to the call of “Time Stamps” from anywhere by anyone of all skill levels.

“Time Stamps”, are history, but with a focus on the details of a specific moment in time that can commonly get overlooked. These specific moments lend themselves to encompassing the instances of that current time. What the range of that history or life is, is less important. It can vary from local, global, or just personal moments. These Time Stamps can give us an all encompassing view of an event or just highlight the subtlety of a moment. The only constraint when it comes to the submission of these Time Stamps is that they have to be from the past five years, so the oldest photo can be from 2017 . For this reason, please include the year the image was created. Also for increased chances of having your photo selected, send one image from each possible year, because only one image can be accepted per person for each available year.

Eligibility: 

Open to all artists making art related to the photographic process.

Entry Fee and Specifications: Deadline- January 4, 2022

Every entry is FREE for 5 submissions.   There is no longer an option to submit extra submissions.  This zine is not for profit.  The zine will be 32 pages 5.25X8.25 inches and perfect bound  International shipping may have a slight additional cost.  Any extra submissions will be discarded.  Artists will be contacted within two weeks after the end of the deadline to whether or not some of their work has been accepted or not. 

All entries should be 5MB or smaller and emailed to losethefilm@gmail.com 

Every file should be Lastname_Firstname_imagename.jpg  

For example Smith_John_mountains.jpg

In the email please please include:

• Call for entry in the email subject line

• Include your full name

• Instagram name

• And any specifications related to your entry

• Include your address if purchasing additional submissions

Attention- Any entries that are submitted as google drive links, zipped files, or not named correctly will be discarded.
